No. 11 Men’s Lacrosse Releases Captains, Schedule, Preseason All-Americans + Polls/Rankings

The St. Lawrence University men's lacrosse team, who ended the 2025 season ranked 11th nationally, made it to the Liberty League Championship game and the third round of the NCAA Tournament, has named seniors Cam Croasdaile, Quin Fedor, and Sam Wade captains for the upcoming 2026 centennial season.

With just over a week to go before the Saints' 100th season gets underway, the Scarlet and Brown have been back in the preseason swing and are set to open their new campaign at Western New England on Thursday, February 19.

"I think we have been fortunate, and this year is no exception, of having a real strong leadership group," said head coach Mike Mahoney. "It has been great to see the growth in leadership skills in Quin, Sam, and Cam over their careers. While their styles may be different, they have worked well with the other upperclassmen to set the appropriate standard for the 2026 season. I look forward to continuing to work with them as we navigate the upcoming season and will continue to lean on them throughout the spring."

Last season, Croasdaile tallied 19 goals and six assists for 25 points, scoring two game winners and picking up 11 ground balls. Fedor picked up 17 ground balls, caused eight turnovers and scored one goal, while Wade picked up 16 ground balls, tacked on 10 caused turnovers and added an assist.

Joining the veteran captains with early accolades for the Saints are Daniel Mahoney and Dan Anderson, who earned Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-America nods. Mahoney earned Third-Team recognition, while Anderson earned a spot on the Honorable Mention list.

Mahoney led the Saints in points last season with 57 on 38 goals and 19 assists. He also picked up 42 ground balls and caused three turnovers, while Anderson tallied 10 goals, two helpers, 35 ground balls and 15 caused turnovers. Mahoney also earned USILA All-America, IMLCA All-Region, and All-Liberty League honors in 2025.

The Saints, who advanced to the third round of the NCAA tournament against defending national champion Tufts last season, finished 2025 at 12-7 overall and 5-2 in Liberty League action. The Saints were picked to finish third in the Liberty League this year, receiving one first-place vote. In addition to the conference's preseason poll, the Saints were ranked 11th in the USILA preseason poll, and 15th in the Inside Lacrosse rankings.

After opening the season at WNE, the Saints will faceoff against Cortland in their home opener on February 22, marking the first game on the Saints brand new turf at North Country Field. St. Lawrence will then make two trips to Rochester, facing St. John Fisher on February 28 and Nazareth on March 7.

Over spring break the Saints will make their fourth consecutive trip to Maryland for the highly competitive Callum Robinson Mustang Classic at Stevenson, facing Dickinson and host Stevenson, before opening league play at home against Union on March 21.

SLU will take on Hampden-Sydney in a neutral site matchup at Georgetown Prep on March 25 before traveling to Ithaca on the 28th. April brings SLU to RPI and Middlebury before hosting RIT on the 11th, followed by more travel to Route 11 rival Clarkson and Skidmore, before hosting Vassar on senior day, April 25.

"It is very clear that our players want to play as competitive a schedule as we can, and this year certainly fits that description," Mahoney added. "While we always know that we will play a challenging schedule on the Liberty League circuit, our out of conference opponents will certainly force us to be ready to go right from game one. I believe we have six top-20 teams, including two who played in last year's final four. We will see top teams from a number of different conferences throughout the year, and we look forward to going to the Callum Robinson Mustang Classic again in March, which continues to be the top regular season showcase event in all of DIII lacrosse!"

More to come in next weeks season preview, stay tuned Saints!
