The St. Lawrence University women's golf team opens the fall portion of the 2025-26 season with the St. Lawrence Invitational under second-year head coach
Dave Clausen at the Oliver D. Appleton Golf Course this Saturday and Sunday.
Last season,
Sadie Cumming earned All-Liberty League Honorable Mention accolades at the 2025 Liberty League Championships. Cumming was tied for 15th after round one and dropped five strokes off her score to move up three spots and finish the weekend with a 161 good for 12th place.
The Saints claimed one first-place finish last season, taking the team title at the SUNY Canton Invitational, while Cumming claimed the runner-up spot with an 81.
At Liberty League's last spring, the Saints took part in Cortland's Martin/Wallace Invitational and the Union Spring Invitational before heading to the conference championships. The Saints placed fifth at Cortland, both graduating senior
Mary Grace McCann and Cumming both shot an 80 and tied for second place at Union's Spring Invite.
St. Lawrence finished the spring with a sixth-place finish at the Liberty League Championships with a combined score of 761 (381, 380).
Seniors for the Saints this season include
Caroline Mower and
Jocelyn Ollinger, while
Ali Card and
Ella Narins return for their junior seasons. Cumming is the lone sophomore on the roster, while newcomers
Nora Walsh and
Nilla Ecklof look forward to their first season in Scarlet and Brown.
Following the Saints' home invitational, the Scarlet and Brown will play in the SUNY Geneseo Invitational on September 15, the SUNY Canton Invitational on September 18, and the Union Fall Invitational on September 20-21. St. Lawrence is scheduled to wrap up the fall season on October 4-5 at the Hamilton Fall Invitational.
