The St. Lawrence University baseball program and head coach
Kenny Collins have announced the addition of
Jackson Sattinger as the team's assistant coach.
"We are excited to have Jackson on board this season," said Collins "He brings knowledge and experience on both sides of the ball, as he was a successful outfielder and pitcher during her collegiate career. His passion for the game is going to be a great addition to the program, and I'm looking forward to seeing his impact on our players in the coming years."
A graduate of Hamilton College with a Bachelor of Arts, Jackson served as a team captain for the Continentals, where he played a key role in the team's leadership. On the field, he was a versatile contributor, compiling a career batting average of .372 with 120 hits, 93 RBI, and 13 home runs across 106 games. His senior season was especially impressive, hitting .436 with a .755 slugging percentage, 41 hits, and 32 RBI. As a pitcher, Jackson posted a career ERA of 3.00 over 60 innings, with 53 strikeouts and three saves.
Jackson's coaching experience includes working as a Pitching Coach at Next Level Baseball in Long Island, where he trained high school seniors and assisted with college recruiting. He also gained valuable experience in sports medicine and rehabilitation as a Physical Therapy Aide at Northwell Health and a Sports Medicine Assistant at Hamilton College.
