Elizabeth Walsh turned aside 15 shots, but the St. Lawrence University field hockey team dropped their last contest prior to league play as they fell 4-0 at the hands of No. 18 nationally ranked NESCAC opponent Hamilton Wednesday evening.
The Hamilton scoring was spread evenly across the game, as they added one goal per period.
Alden Duserick had the first goal for the Centennials in the 10
th minute, then three minutes into the second quarter Hamilton doubled their lead. They added two goals over the final two quarters of the game.
The Centennials also had a steady stream of shots toward goal, directing 11 in both the first and second quarters and 12 in the third – but the Saints limited their shot total to four in the game's final quarter.
St. Lawrence resumes play Saturday, September 27 with their first league contest against Skidmore.
