Junior goalkeeper
Zoe Davenport picked up her first career shutout on Friday, but the St. Lawrence University women's soccer team settled for a 0-0 draw against SUNY Potsdam at the Maxcy Hall Turf Field.
The Saints and Bears both saw their records move to 0-0-1 with the result.
St. Lawrence dominated possession from the get-go in the contest to the tune of a 7-0 edge in shot attempts after the first half of play.
Of those seven shots,

th minute, Manne's strike caught the crossbar above Bears' goalkeeper Megan Fry, then in the 12th minute, Fry stopped another Manne effort to turn aside the Saints. D'Anza's shot in the 19
th minute also forced Fry to come up with a save to keep the game level at the half.
The pressure continued in the second half with
Kaitlyn Barton,
Chloe Bourque, and
Zoe Rogan getting great chances on the Potsdam woodwork. Fry made saves on bids from Bourque and Rogan, while Barton's bid was narrowly missed.
St. Lawrence ratcheted up the pressure as time ticked off the clock, forcing the Bears into a defensive structure. In the late stages,
Lilly Stone had a shot at the goal in close but was turned away as the score remained at 0-0.
The Bears finally broke free in the final minute and earned a pair of corner kicks in the Saints' end. Davenport came up with a big save with 26 ticks on the clock to preserve her clean sheet.
