Saints Earn At-Large Bid to 2025 NCAA Tournament

The St. Lawrence University men's lacrosse team earned an at-large bid to the 2025 NCAA Tournament and will face off against Middlebury in the second round of the tournament at Tufts University in Medford, Mass. on Saturday, May 10 at 3 p.m.

The Saints, who made their last NCAA appearance in 2024, are currently ranked 17th in the nation in the latest USILA Coaches Poll, were the second seed in the Liberty League Tournament this weekend and earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time since 2017.

St. Lawrence finished the regular season 11-6 and 5-2 in conference play. The Saints advanced to the Liberty League Championship game vs. RIT after back-to-back upset wins over RPI to close the regular season and in the league semifinals. SLU scored five goals in the fourth quarter in the championship game but fell just short as the Tigers held on for a 11-10 win.

The Saints and the Panthers met earlier this season on April 8th in Canton, as SLU claimed a 7-6 win at North Country Field.

"We are happy to have the earned the right to be together to practice and prepare for an NCAA game," said head coach Mike Mahoney. "I am particularly excited for the guys as they really dug deep mid-season to earn this opportunity. We had a great battle against Middlebury the first time around, and we know that it will take our best effort against them Saturday to advance."

"I am hopeful we can get a big group of greater Boston Saints fans out to Medford on Saturday."

More information regarding this weekend's games will be added to saintsathletics.com when made available.
