The Saints picked up a doubles win and a pair of singles wins on the day, but it wasn't enough as the St. Lawrence University men's tennis team fell 5-2 on Saturday at the Midtown Athletic Club in Rochester, N.Y.
St. Lawrence fell to 7-10 on the season and 1-3 in Liberty League play, while the Tigers improved to 4-6 and 1-1 in league action.
In doubles,
Broderick Pinto and
Jake David combined for the lone St. Lawrence win. The pair teamed up at two and took on Alec Turcotte and Gabriel Ecobar, winning 6-4.
In singles,
John Hill-Edgar picked up a win at number three, beating Turcotte 6-2, 0-6, 6-0, while
Armaan Walia took a 6-2, 7-5 win at six against Luke Weber.
The Scarlet and Brown will be back on court for their penultimate road match of the season at Ithaca. The Sunday match will begin at noon. Â
