Ben Scholes and Sam Lyman shot two over par to lead the St. Lawrence University men's golf team after round one of the Liberty League Championships at the Turning Stone Resort on Friday afternoon.

Scholes shot three birdies and Lyman eagled hole eight, as the two ended round one tied for 12th place with a 74.

Jimmy King finished the day with a 76 to tie for 21st, while Gabe Ward tied for 29th with a 78 and Kevin Dillon sits in 33rd after round one with an 80.

St. Lawrence ended round one in fifth place with a 302, while Rochester led the team standings with a 282, shooting six under.
