The Saints would take the point in doubles but came up empty as the No. 25 St. Lawrence University women's tennis team fell 6-1 on Saturday evening at the Sammis Tennis Courts.
St. Lawrence fell to 15-3 overall with the win and 3-3 in the Liberty League, while Union improved to 10-3 and 4-0 in league play.
The Scarlet and Brown were dominant in doubles play, going 3-0.
At one,
Angelica Aksdal-Jansen and
Elisa Iuri took on Kennedy Alexis and Chara Meidani and took the hard-fought 7-5 win.
Yvette Karera and
Eleanor McDermed earned a sweep at number two, beating Claire Langille and Skylar Semon 6-0. In the third spot,
Ellie Fritz and
Abigail Sicuranza picked up a 7-5 win, defeating Sydney Alphabet and Calista Finkelstein.
Union would sweep singles play to take the match.
The Scarlet and Brown will be at home again next weekend for their final home match of the season against RPI.
