With their second consecutive 7-0 sweep, the St. Lawrence University women's tennis team extended their winning streak to five matches as they cruised past Bard College 7-0 on Sunday morning at the Newell Field House in Canton, N.Y.
The Saints remain undefeated as their record now stands at 5-0, and are 1-0 in Liberty League play.
In doubles play, the Scarlet and Brown took all three doubles matches with both duos of
Molly Jespersen and
Eleanor McDermed, and
Abigail Sicuranza and
Ellie Fritz won their matches 6-0 in the one and two spots. In the third doubles match,
Mia McNamara and
Ashlyn Strobel took down Lisa Kyrtoka and Patricia Santon 6-1 as St. Lawrence claimed the match's first point.
In singles, the Saints kept on rolling as all six secured wins to finish the 7-0 sweep, including Stepic and
Kate Butler who each won their matches 6-0, 6-0.
The Saints return to action next weekend when they travel to Orlando, Florida for their spring break trip.
