Men's Tennis Goes 4-5 on their Spring Break Trip in Florida

The St. Lawrence University men's tennis team picked up four wins in Orlando, Fla. and went 4-5 in total as the Saints moved to 7-7 on the season.

Their trip didn't begin as planned falling twice to Coe College. The Saints bounced back however picking up a pair of 4-3 wins the following day beating Colby-Sawyer and Hope.

Day three in the sunshine state brought a 1-2 day for the Scarlet and Brown with the team falling 6-1 to Wisconsin-Eau Claire and picking up a 4-3 loss against Wisconsin-La Crosse, and a 7-0 win over Crown College.

St. Lawrence grabbed another 7-0 win on the final day of their trip against Edgewood but fell 6-1 against Hamilton for the split on the day.

Edvin Strandberg was a steady presence for the Saints with an 8-3 overall record. Sebastian Boada and Broderick Pinto weren't far behind with six wins a piece. The Saints had three players go undefeated in their matches with Armaan Walia going 5-0, Sonny Mo at 4-0, and Ezenna Emuka at 2-0.

The Scarlet and Brown will head back to Liberty League action next weekend when the team hosts Vassar at the Newell Field House on Saturday, March 29.
