The St. Lawrence University men's track and field team received honors from the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) late last week. Senior
Matthew Taylor and junior
Patrick Russell were both named USTFCCCA All-Academic Athletes, and the team received All-Academic Team distinction.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers.
On the student-athlete All-Academic honors, individuals must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 percent of their respective regional championship meet.

St. Lawrence resumes competition early this week, as they head to Plattsburgh to take part in the Plattsburgh Sprint/Field Meet on Tuesday.
