The Saints swept doubles play and took four of the six singles matches as the St. Lawrence University women's tennis team secured a 5-2 win over Rochester on Sunday afternoon in the Newell Field House.

The Scarlet and Brown improved to 3-0 on the year with the victory.

In doubles play, the Saints took all three matches to take the 1-0 lead. Molly Jespersen and Eleanor McDermed won their match at number one 6-3, while Ariane Karera and Yvette Karera combined to win their match at number two 6-4.

Elisa Iuri and Angelica Aksdal-Jansen occupied the number three spot in the lineup and took a 6-2 win to complete the doubles sweep.

Jespersen was dominant in singles to go 2-0 after defeating Jasmin Toor 6-1, 6-1 at number two. A. Karera also took her second win of the day in the number three spot but had more resistance. The sophomore lost the first set 6-7 (6), but came back with 6-3, and 6-4 wins for the victory.
