The St. Lawrence track and field and cross country programs are back once again for the annual
Fastest Kid in the North Country.
Competition will take place Saturday, Dec. 13 in Newell Field House.
This event has become a North Country tradition bringing youth participants from all over northern New York. This event caters to children up to ten years old and gives them the opportunity compete in an entry level track event and the possibility to earn bragging rights as the "Fastest Kid in the North Country!"

The
"Fastest Kid in the North Country" competition promotes track and field in the North Country, while giving back to the community.
Track races will be held for
ages 2-6 (60 Meter Dash) and
7-10 (200 Meter Dash).
Participants may enter the competition from
8:45 a.m. - 9:15 a.m. on Saturday morning. The races are scheduled to begin at
9:30 a.m.
A non-perishable food item is requested from each participant. All proceeds will benefit SLU's Campus Kitchens. Candy canes will be given out to all participants, with champions earning the lifelong title of
"Fastest Kid in the North Country!"
Special awards compliments of Victory Promotions will be presented immediately following the final race of each age group.
