The event was a notable one for St. Lawrence head coach
Chris Downs, who recorded win No. 400 of his coaching career. He reaches that mark in his 694

On the game, Downs was pleased to see the Saints roll past two formidable league opponents.
"It was a nice weekend and we took a step forward, which was encouraging to see," said Downs. "Now, going on the road for the next three weekends will define what this team is about. We're excited for the challenge and will spend the week preparing."
The opening part of the first half was a low-scoring affair and 10 minutes into the game, each team had 11 points on the board. After a three-pointer by
Colton Suriano and a dunk by
Andrew Cowan, the Saints got out in front 19-14 with 6:19 left in the half. This was the first time either team had more than a one-possession lead. The Saints went into the half with the same five-point lead, up 26-21.
After the Raptors got a three to start the second half, the Saints went on a 13-0 run with Dudzinski scoring eight of these points and the Saints were all of a sudden out in front 39-24 with 15:56 left.
Bard managed seven straight points to get within eight, but the Saints kept their lead between eight and 12 points for the middle part of the second half. With the Scarlet and Brown up 53-43 and nine minutes remaining, St. Lawrence scored eight of the next nine points to earn a 17-point lead with five minutes to go. Their lead was their largest of the night with Anderson contributing five points in the run. A few points later, the Saints won 68-52 to get two solid victories on the weekend.
