The BK Mladá Boleslav hockey team has announced the signing of St. Lawrence University men's hockey senior Tomáš Mazura for the remainder of the season. The team, which plays out of Mladá Boleslav, Czechia is a member of the Czech Extraliga, the country's highest level of pro hockey.
"We're excited for Tomáš and his opportunity to play professional hockey in the Czech Republic," said Charles W. Appleton II Head Men's Hockey Coach
Brent Brekke "It is great to see him achieve his dream of signing a pro contract. Tomáš has completed his academic requirements to graduate from St. Lawrence and feels this is a great opportunity that he is ready for. The team is located close to his home and family which was an important factor for him. We are very excited to follow the next steps in his career and wish him the best."
Mazura, who had a goal and 13 assists this season, finishes his three-year St. Lawrence career having played in 79 games scoring ten goals and assisting 36 others. Mazura was a member of last season's ECAC Championship runners-up team and was named to the All-Tournament team.
