The Ithaca Bombers shutout the St. Lawrence University football team 41-0 on a Saturday afternoon on the road in Ithaca, N.Y.
Daniel Lawther threw 24-for-36 for 153 yards, while
Cole Salyards caught five passes for 45 yards and
Shea Goodwin caught six for 38. On defense,
Evan Pastino tallied a team-high 10 tackles, while
Joseph O'Neil and
Liam Perkins each recorded nine. Perkins also recorded three tackles for the loss of 18, including two sacks for the loss of 14.
The Bombers took an early lead, as Matthew Parker connected with Nicholas Matos for a 41-yard touchdown catch. Derek Baldin's kick was good for the 7-0 advantage and the lone score of the first quarter.
Ithaca increased their lead in the second quarter, as Jake Williams ran for six yards to cap a 49-yard drive and Parker threw his second touchdown catch to Sam Kline, building a 21-0 lead. Parker connected with Nicholas Lang with 45 seconds left in the second frame, and Baldin was 3-for-3 on kicks in the second for the 28-0 lead at halftime.
The Bomber's scored their fourth touchdown of the game in the third quarter, as Jalen Leonard-Osbourne scored on a 15-yard run, making the score 35-0.
Baldin converted on two field goal opportunities in the fourth, one for 48 yards and one for 31 yards to cap the scoring for the 41-0 final.
Parker passed 16-for-20 for 264 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Ithaca offense, while Jake Williams led the ground game with 64 yards and Kline caught six passes for 115 yards. Jake Connolly recorded 10 tackles, while Owen O'Neill recorded two tackles for the loss of six yards.
Ithaca's offense finished with a 23-9 advantage on first downs and finished with 462 yards on offense to the Saints' 177.
St. Lawrence fell to 2-6 on the season and 1-4 in Liberty League play, while Ithaca improved to 6-3 and 2-1, respectively.
The Saints will return to Leckonby Stadium and host Buffalo State for senior day on Saturday, November 16. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
