Senior Associate Vice President for Athletics Bob Durocher has announced the hiring of Stafford Fitness Center Director and Strength and Conditioning Coach Jon Lynch, as announced on Thursday afternoon.
Prior to joining the St. Lawrence staff, Lynch served as the Director of Sports Performance at the University of Maine for the last eight years.
He was responsible for overseeing all aspects of Maine Sports Performance operations including the supervision of full-time staff and interns, facility maintenance, budget, and nutritional supplement distribution. He was directly responsible for the design and implementation of annual training plans, he served on the Athletic Director's leadership committee, coordinated football nutrition and assisted with gameday operations.
Before his time with the Bears, Lynch served as the Assistant Sports Performance Coach at Northeastern University.

"He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, which will greatly benefit the fitness center, our strength and conditioning programs, and the relationships with the St. Lawrence and surrounding communities."
His certifications include – CSCS/RSCC, Red Cross CPR, AED and First Aid and Reflective Performance Reset 1 and 2.
Lynch holds a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from Westfield State University and a Master's in Exercise Physiology from Central Connecticut State University.
