The St. Lawrence University women's tennis team went 2-1 in Doubles but ultimately fell 7-2 to Skidmore on Sunday afternoon in the Newell Field House.
The Saints fell to 2-1 with the loss and 0-1 in Liberty League action, while Skidmore improved to 5-1 and 4-0 in league action.
The Scarlet and Brown started off the day strong going 2-1 in the Doubles portion of the match.
At number one,
Catherine Gamble and
Molly Jespersen continued their great play taking on Grace Truong and Ella Provost. Gamble and Jespersen would take the 8-7 (9-7) victory in the match. At number two,
Caitlyn Avery and
Emily Harris had a much easier time as they took an 8-3 win over Maya Lal and Chantel Thongphok.
The Thoroughbreds would secure all six singles matches to take the 7-2 win.
The Scarlet and Brown will be back in action on Monday, March 20th when the team takes on the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in Orlando, Florida.
