Shailynn Snow recorded a three-point night to lead the St. Lawrence University women's hockey team to a 4-1 upset win against the No. 7/6 Quinnipiac Bobcats on Friday night at Appleton Arena.
Prior to tonight's game, the Saints honored current and former St. Lawrence women's hockey Olympians with a banner raising displaying the names - Gina Kingsbury '04, Isabelle Chartrand, Alison Domenico '09, Michele Amidon '94, Â Hannah Miller '18,
Taylor Lum '25,
Suyeon Eom '24,
Anna Segedi '24, and

With the win, St. Lawrence improved to 15-17-3 overall and 9-9-3 in ECAC play and earned three critical points heading into the final regular season game tomorrow. Quinnipiac fell to 27-6-0 and 17-4-0.
After a scoreless first period of play, the Saints held a 13-11 edge in shots on goal.
Julia Gosling broke through first, as she went 2-on-1 from the Saints' blue line, got a shot off and hit Bobcat's goaltender Logan Angers in the blocker, but Snow scored her first of the night by burying the rebound.
One minute and 18 seconds later, Quinnipiac's Alexa Hoskin went 1-on-1 with Saints' goaltender
Lucy Morgan. Morgan made the initial stop, but Hoskin put the puck five-hole to tie the game 1-1.
Snow had her hand on the second goal of the night, as she picked up a pass from
Aly McLeod, carried it into the zone and deked out a defender before passing off to Lum, who went five-hole for the 2-1 lead with 6:05 remaining in the second period.
The Scarlet and Brown would carry their 2-1 lead into the second intermission, also leading in shots on goal 26-18.
Snow would secure her third point of the night, as she tipped a shot past Angers' blocker, off an original shot from Chloé Puddifant.
Abby Hustler also assisted on the play.Â
With 3:51 to play in the third, Quinnipiac pulled Angers for the first time.
Shortly after pulling Angers, the Saints final goal of the evening came off the stick of McLeod, as she sent a shot down the ice for an empty-net tally with 1:49 remaining.
"We put together a good effort tonight that resulted in a great win," said head coach
Chris Wells. "Honoring the Olympians was just the start of a high-energy game. Both teams battled for every puck and we were able to get a few more bounces to go our way."
"Quinnipiac is one of the most honest teams in our league and you have to be prepared to play each shift," Wells added. "It was nice to create some excitement around Appleton this time of year! We had a great crowd supporting us, especially the Board of Trustees, who came out in full SLU spirit leading the way!"
Morgan made 27 saves in the winning effort, including five crucial saves in the last two minutes, while Angers finished with 30 for the Bobcats.
Quinnipiac managed to lead 56-49 in total shots, but St. Lawrence finished with a 34-28 advantage in shots on goal.
The Saints will close out the regular season against Princeton, tomorrow afternoon at 3 p.m. for senior day. If you're heading to Appleton Arena tomorrow, don't forget to stick around post game, as the Scarlet and Brown honor the nine members of the Class of 2023.
