First-year
Jimmy King shot one over par and lead the first of three teams for the St. Lawrence University men's golf team at the St. Lawrence Invitational at the par-72 Oliver D. Appleton Golf Course on Saturday afternoon.
King shot a 73 during round one for his first outing with the Scarlet and Brown, while
Ben Scholes and
Owen Donovan tied for second place with a 75 after round one.
Wes Bevins tied for fifth place with Clarkson's Alexander Poole after shooting a 77, while
Cooper Evans and
Ben Lloyd tied for seventh to round out St. Lawrence's single digit placements.
St. Lawrence placed teams in first (303), second (312) and fourth (324)following round one, while SUNY Canton sits in third with a 322 and Clarkson sits in fifth with a 326.
Round two of the tournament will tee off at 8 a.m., tomorrow, Sunday, September 4.
