The Saints had two Doubles matches go to extra points, but the St. Lawrence University women's tennis team fell 9-0 to Franklin and Marshall College on Tuesday afternoon at the Fort Gatlin Tennis Center in Orlando, Fla.
St. Lawrence fell to 4-2 on the year, while the Diplomats improved to 2-3.
In the Doubles competition,
Lillian Sullivan and
Elena Styliades went to extra points with Cassidy Landau and Jenna Harrison at number one. The Diplomats duo would come away with the 8-7 (7-3) win. At number two,
Catherine Gamble and
Emily Harris also went to extra points, but ultimately fell 8-7 (8-6) to Mackenzie Sherman and Sammi Perry.
The Saints went down in order in the Singles portion as Franklin and Marshall completed the sweep.
The Scarlet and Brown will be back in action at the Fort Gatlin Tennis Center at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow when they take on New Paltz.
