Saints Men's Tennis Falls 6-3 To Franklin and Marshall

First-year Broderick Pinto went 2-0 in his Singles and Doubles matches, but it was not enough as the St. Lawrence University men's tennis team fell 6-3 to Franklin and Marshall College on Tuesday morning at the Fort Gatlin Tennis Center in Orlando, Fla.

St. Lawrence fell to 4-3 on the year, while the Diplomats improved to 3-2.

In the Doubles portion of the match, Pinto teamed up with fellow Boulder, Colo. Native Adam Heilbronner in the number two spot. The familiar duo dropped Franklin and Marshall's Justin Pace and Tristan Steffe 8-5.

In the Singles, Nico Haet earned himself a win in the number three spot of the lineup. Haet battled Isaac Rockower to a 6-3, 6-1 match to secure the win. Then at number six, Pinto earned his second win of the day with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Daniel Ferguson.

The Scarlet and Brown will be back in action at the Fort Gatlin Tennis Center at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow when they take on Bentley University.
