Trey Syroka hit the game-winning free throw with six seconds left to propel the St. Lawrence men's basketball team over the Bombers of Ithaca 80-79 on Saturday afternoon in Ithaca, N.Y.
Luke Hicks, who attempted just one shot in the first half, exploded with six 3-pointers on his way to 23 points to lead the second-half comeback.
The Bombers led by as many as 18 in the first half, but the Saints closed the final five and a half minutes out-scoring Ithaca 16-8 to go into halftime down just 10 points.
St. Lawrence continued to cut into the Bomber lead, and after nine minutes, Hicks hit his third 3-pointer to tie the game at 50. A few minutes later
Miles Davis hit a jumper to give the Saints their first lead of the game 56-54. The teams exchanged blows over the next few minutes, Ithaca was able to put a run together and led by seven points with under six to play.

Trent Adamson hit back to back layups to tie the game at 74 for two and a half minutes to play.
With 46 seconds to play Adamson got to the rim again for his fifteenth points of the game to tie the game at 79. The Saints stuck to their suffocating 2-3 zone and the Bombers could not get their shot to fall, and
Trey Syroka had the ball with fifteen seconds to play. He drove to the hoop and a whack on his arm sent him to the line. He hit one of two to put St. Lawrence up 80-79. Ithaca got a clean look from three, but left it short and the Scarlet and Brown secured the win.

Hicks' 23 points is a season high. Adamson finished with 15 and Syroka had a dozen. Adamson also had 11 rebounds for his seventh double-double of the season.
Three Bombers finished with double figures in scoring, led by Jack Stern's 11.
St. Lawrence shot 49-percent from the floor, and 40-percent from deep. Ithaca shot 45-percent and 31-percent from three. Each team finished with nine 3-pointers.
