Dylan Woolf, a three-year captain of the St. Lawrence University men's hockey team, has signed a contract with the Florida Everblades in the ECHL for the remainder of the 2020-21 season.
After missing the final five games of the regular season due to injury, Woolf played a key role in the Saints 2021 ECAC Hockey title run, scoring a goal early in the third period in a 5-4 overtime win over Colgate. The physical defenseman also helped hold top-seeded Quinnipiac, which averaged nearly 3.5 goals per game this season, to just two in a 3-2 overtime win in the championship game, giving the Saints their first league title in 20 years.
"We are extremely proud of what Dylan accomplished this year as a leader of our program and how to see him rewarded with the opportunity of playing pro hockey is exciting," said Charles W. Appleton II Head Men's Hockey Coach
Brent Brekke. "We wish him the best of luck with the Florida Everblades, and know he'll do well."
Woolf finished his St. Lawrence career with three goals and 11 assists for 14 points in 113 career games played, and the Saints were 6-4-2 when he was in the lineup this season.
