Duun Cocozza O'Hara scored two goals, and tallied three assists, while
Isabel Silvia had a goal and two assists as the St. Lawrence University women's soccer team defeated SUNY Canton 6-0 on Wednesday afternoon at the SUNY Canton Turf Field.
The Saints improved to 6-5-2 on the season, while the Roos fell to 2-11-1 on the year.

The Saints struck first midway through the first half off a great passing play.
Natalie Schock received a long pass from
Mia Cence, who was patrolling the backline. Schock made a run towards the Canton goal, and with defenders collapsing dished off a pass to Silvia. Silvia made a one-touch pass to O'Hara, who ran past the defenders and fired the ball past Skylar Williams to take the 1-0 lead.
With three minutes and 18 seconds left to go in the first half,
Emma Reynolds put the Scarlet and Brown up 2-0.
Lauren Arthaud had the ball in the offensive zone and found an open Reynolds down the field. The sophomore sidestepped the Roos defense and took a long range shot from outside of the box which went off the crossbar and in for the 2-0 advantage.
Less than 10 minutes into the first half the Saints scored once again to increase their lead to 3-0. First-year
Alyvia Ronning fired a long pass into the box that was knocked down by a Canton defender and was flicked by Silvia. The ball bounced to O'Hara, who buried the scoring chance for her second goal of the game. Silvia tallied her second assist of the game on the play.
With 7:05 to play in the contest, the Scarlet and Brown had a pair of career firsts.
Karin Ishikawa had the ball down the right side of the pitch and sent a pass down to O'Hara in the box. The senior centered a pass to
Grace Wagshul, who scored her first career goal to put the Saints up 4-0. Ishikawa earned her first career assist on the scoring play.
Ishikawa was not done as less than four minutes later she would score her first career goal. Schock tapped a pass to O'Hara, who sent a long pass towards Ishikawa as she made a run for the goal. The pass connected with Ishikawa, who flicked the ball past the keeper to extend the lead to five.Â
St. Lawrence's final tally came with 10 seconds left on the clock. Sophomore
Grace Bridge received her first career assist as she made a pass to O'Hara, who immediately sent a cross into the box. Silvia was on the other end of the cross as she headed the ball off a defender and in for the goal.
Keely Snode faced zero shots in her 45 minutes of play in the first half.
Darcie McDonough, who came on in the second half stopped one shot to complete the combined shutout. Canton's Williams stopped 17 shots in the effort.
St. Lawrence had a decisive 38-1 advantage in shots and an 23-1 edge in shots on goal. The Saints had 10 corner kicks, while the Roos had none.
The Scarlet and Brown will be on the road to Saratoga Springs this Saturday, October 23
rd to take on Skidmore in the final road game of the regular season. The match is scheduled to kick-off at 3:00 p.m.
