The 30th-ranked St. Lawrence cross country team finished fifth out of 29 teams at the Mike Woods' Geneseo Invitational on Saturday in Geneseo, N.Y.
First-year
Alli Sibold finished eighth out of 321 finishers to lead the Saints with a time of 22 minutes and 27.6 seconds. This lowers her personal best time by 42 seconds.
Billie McClosky was the second Saint across the line in 23 minutes and 4.1 seconds to take 20th place.

Haylei Coolican (55) rounded out the top five for a team score of 152 points, 17 behind league rival RIT, who is ranked 26th nationally. 10 Saints had personal bests for the six-kilometer distance.
No. 13Â Geneseo won their home invitational with a low score of 27 points. They have four of the top six finishers, including Kathleen McCarey who won the race in 21 minutes and 43 seconds. Case Western, who is nationally unranked finished second with 118, and No. 15 Middlebury was third with 129.
"Today's meet served as a great opportunity to step into a high caliber competition with several other nationally ranked teams," said head coach
Kate Howard. "Now that we're in the thick of the season we're starting to get a clearer picture of our conference, regional, and national competition, and we're standing strong on all fronts.

Billie McClosky ran strong from the front to bring home two top 20 finishes and overall we had our best team performance of the season. We've got a great deal to be excited about and we look forward to getting back to work this week before we head to Conn in two weeks."
