The St. Lawrence University women's lacrosse team and head coach Hannah Corkery have named seniors Liddy DeConto, Kylie Murphy, Annie Vatcher and Annie Wilson captions for the 2021 season.

The Saints, who saw their season cut short after just two early games in Massachusetts last spring, will hope to return to the field this upcoming season pending COVID-19 regulations.

"I am profoundly excited to announce this year's captains: Liddy DeConto, Kylie Murphy, Annie Vatcher and Annie Wilson," said Corkery. Liddy, Annie and Annie were all here when I first began coaching at SLU. They were my "first-years", and I could not have been greeted with a better group to grow with these past four years. Kylie came in her sophomore year and made a seamless entry into the program and on to the team. These four leaders consistently display the characteristics and effort level needed to be high-level student-athletes. They are always the last to leave the gym from work outs and the first to offer a helping hand to a teammate. As their teammates have all said, each will lead differently, but they all share a common love – St. Lawrence lacrosse."

The Saints scored 22 goals in the two games last season, four coming from Murphy. DeConto added a goal and an assist, as well as a caused turnover in the two games, while Wilson picked up three ground balls and Vatcher recorded two.
