The St. Lawrence University men's hockey team and Charles W. Appleton II Head Men's Hockey Coach
Brent Brekke have selected
Dylan Woolf '21 and
Callum Cusinato '21 as team captains for the 2020-2021 season. Both players will wear a "C" for the Saints this year.
Woolf, a senior from Victoria, Minnesota, led the team last season with 61 blocked shots and was one of two players to dress for all 36 games.
"Dylan returns as a captain for the third year," said Brekke. "Having worn the letter the previous two years, he brings a lot of experience to this leadership role. He is one of the most consistent competitors on our team and is a phenomenal example with his day-to-day habits."
Cusinato, a senior from Toronto, Ontario, finished last season with two goals and an assist for three points in 23 games.
"'Cusi' has earned the honor and responsibility of wearing a letter for us this year as a senior," said Brekke. "He is a team-first guy who is well-respected within our locker room but also across campus. He has shown tremendous growth in his game and has had a great start throughout our pre-season. Cusi is very motivated and driven to help our team succeed."
The Saints are scheduled to open the season against Niagara at Appleton Arena on Friday night at 5 p.m. The team has announced an
eight-game non-league schedule through January 3; the ECAC Hockey schedule is still being finalized and will be released at a later date.
