The St. Lawrence women's tennis team shut out Bard in seven of the nine matches played on Sunday morning, as the Saints rolled to a 9-0 win over the Raptors in Liberty League action in the Newell Field House.
The Saints' top two doubles pairings of
Caroline Reilly and
Katherine Apt, as well as
Maddie Nasch and
Carly Jefferson, posted 8-0 wins in their matches to start the day for St. Lawrence.
All four of them were also winners in singles, as Apt, Nasch and Jefferson were among those who shut out their opponents with 6-0, 6-0 wins at No. 2, No. 5 and No. 6, respectively.
First-year
Christina Ryan and sophomore
Grace van Tartwijk were the others who did not concede a game in their matches at No. 3 and No. 4 on Sunday.
Marie Bank and
Ibadat Javed also contributed to the sweep for the Saints, earning an 8-2 win at No. 3 doubles.
The match was the first of the spring season for Bard.
