Van Tassel shot 6-for-8 from the floor to record a season-high 12 points against the Brewers, while Erin Kumler added 10 points and four rebounds.
The Brewers and the Saints battled within one point after the first 10 minutes of play. The Saints managed to tie the game 16-16 midway through the second, but the 26-21 halftime edge belonged to Vassar.

"We played very well tonight and really did a great job of playing team defense," said St. Lawrence head coach
Dan Roiger. "We were haunted by poor shooting, which has been an issue all season, and a high number of turnovers. It was a very good defensive night for us, but we need to score more than 45 points to win."
Jackie Cenan led the Brewers with 17 points and a team-best nine rebounds, while Sophie Nick and Isa Peczuh finished with 16 and 14 points, respectively.
Vassar
outrebounded the Saints 35-33 and shot 41.7% from the floor and held Saints to 36.0% shooting. St. Lawrence finished with 17 points off the bench to the Brewers five.
The Saints fell to 6-11 on the season and 3-7 in conference play, while the Brewers improved to 16-2 and 10-1 and extended their winning streak to 13 games.
St. Lawrence will wrap up another Liberty League road weekend at Bard tomorrow afternoon. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m.
