The No. 4 seed St. Lawrence University women's hockey team will face top-seeded Clarkson in the ECAC Hockey semifinals at Cheel Arena in Potsdam at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
The Saints advanced to the conference tournament's semifinal round for the third consecutive year thanks to a sweep of No. 5 Quinnipiac last weekend.
The game marks the fifth time this season the North Country rivals will square off against each other. Clarkson won all four regular season meetings, including two non-league games in October.
Tickets for the game are $5 for adults age 15 and up, $3 for children ages 8-14 and free for kids under 8. The game will be live streamed on
ESPN 3 and will also be available as a
pay-per-view event through Boxcast for $9.95.
St. Lawrence has an 18-25-7 record in the all-time series with Clarkson, including a 5-2 record in ECAC Hockey playoff games. The last time the two teams met in the postseason was a quarterfinal series at Cheel Arena in 2010, which Clarkson won in three games. St. Lawrence has never played Clarkson in the semifinal round.
No. 2 Colgate will face No. 3 Cornell in the other semifinal game at 4 p.m. on Saturday. The winners will square off in the other semifinal. The semifinal winners will face off for the league championship at 2 p.m on Sunday at Cheel Arena.
