Three out of the four captains on the St. Lawrence University men's soccer team had a hand in defeating SUNY Oswego 2-0 Friday afternoon in Oswego, New York.
Captain
Rob Brandell '18 was the first to put the Saints on the board at the 15 minute mark. Brandell scored his first goal of the season off a penalty kick to give the Saints a 1-0 advantage.
Ryan Roche '18 crossed the ball to
Brendan McNamee '19, who was waiting at the six-yard box for Saints second and final goal of the game in the 64th minute of play.
Jethro Dede and McNamee tallied two shots on goal each, while
Sam Sapnar,
Charlton Kelly, Brandell and Roche all recorded one.

Mike Toshack "Credit goes out to Oswego, they are a team that you can see why they've scored 27 goals already this year. Now we try and recover the best we can and focus our energy on Cortland tomorrow night."
Connor Lunduski had the Lakers' lone shot on goal just over 16 minutes into the first half. Lunduski recorded three shots overall.
Saints goalkeeper
Mike Smith earned his second shutout of the season and recorded one save with today's win. Evan Bogucki and Brian Terra combined for six saves in goal for Oswego.
St. Lawrence outshot the Lakers 22-7 overall and held an 8-1 shots on goal advantage.
The Saints will travel to SUNY Cortland tomorrow to face off against the Red Dragons at 7 p.m.
