Andrew Jarrett scored three goals and added an assist to lead the eighth-ranked St. Lawrence University men's lacrosse team to an 11-6 win over Plattsburgh in a non-league game under the lights Wednesday night at North Country Field.
Jordan Dow also tallied three goals, while
Jamie Kuppel and
Jon Fairbanks contributed a goal and an assist.
Jamie DeNicola,
Caleb Kane and
Connor Brimley added one goal each.

Ryan Brigham was once again dominant in the faceoff circle, going 13-for-21. On the defensive end, Kane picked up a season-high eight ground balls.

The Cardinals were first out of the gate with an early goal from Jake Carroll and held a 2-1 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Saints rebounded quickly as Kane carried the ball all the way down the field for the zone clear and ripped a shot with the long pole from the top of the arc past goaltender Austin Graham to score his first goal of the season and tie the game 2-2. St. Lawrence gained the lead off Jarrett's first goal and held onto the lead for the remainder of the game.

Late in the third,
Jordan Dow used
Conor Healey as a screen and slipped a shot past Graham to lift the Saints' lead to 10-4. The Cardinals scored two goals in the fourth in a comeback attempt, but Fairbanks put the game away with the final goal of the game with just over nine minutes remaining.
Plattsburgh was led by Ryan Hubbard, who scored three goals. Carroll, Austin Belz and Mike Gay each tallied one for the Cardinals. Graham made 12 saves for Plattsburgh, while
Alex Terry stopped four shots for the Saints.

St. Lawrence improved to 8-1 overall, while Plattsburgh fell to 6-4.

The Saints return to action Saturday as they host Bard at North Country Field at 12 p.m.
