The St. Lawrence University women's basketball team fell to William Smith 79-52 in Liberty League play Friday night in Geneva, N.Y.

Caroline Dalton and sophomore
Meghan Hynes led the Saints, scoring 13 points each. Dalton also contributed five rebounds. Junior
Kaelyn Kohlasch tallied seven points and three rebounds.
The score remained tight at the end of the first quarter with the Saints trailing only by four points (20-16). The Herons pulled away in the second quarter, leading 44-26 heading into the locker room. The Saints were unable to fight back as the full press from William Smith continued through the third and fourth quarters.
William Smith was led by senior Melanie Patterson, who tallied 18 points and five rebounds. Sophomore Mia Morrison scored 15 points and senior Alyssa DiCampli added 12.
The Saints fell to 7-12 and 4-7 in Liberty League play, as William Smith improved to 16-4 and 10-1.
The Saints will look to bounce back tomorrow afternoon as they travel to Rochester, N.Y. to take on the RIT Tigers at 2 p.m.
