Meghan Hynes led the Saints with 17 points as the St. Lawrence University women's basketball team defeated Bard 77-32 on senior day on Saturday afternoon at Burkman Gymnasium.
Prior to the game, seniors
Caroline Dalton and
Ellie Gonyeau were honored for their careers. Dalton helped the Saints by scoring 13 points, while Gonyeau tallied five points and six rebounds.
The Saints raced out to a 21-7 lead in the first 10 minutes of the game and the outcome was never in doubt. The Saints held a 55-14 lead at halftime, made 48.5 percent of their shots from the field and held Bard to 28.6 percent shooting.
Annie Kissel scored 17 points for Bard (0-23, 0-14 LL).
The Saints improved to 9-13 and 6-8 in conference play.
St. Lawrence will travel to nearby Clarkson University for a Route 11 rivalry game on Wednesday at 6 p.m., then wraps up the season against Skidmore on Friday night at Burkman Gymnasium.
