Junior Lindsay Geier scored two second-half goals, including the game winner, to help the Saints remain unbeaten at 5-0-0 on the season with a 4-1 win over Western New England University (1-3-2) on Sunday afternoon.

The Saints also got goals from senior Mimi Coppinger ; her first of the season, while sophomore Kaleigh White added her seventh of the year and second in as many games. Senior Amanda Hamilton and first-year Julia Hill picked up their first points of the season with assists in the contest.

"This was a great weekend for the Saints," Head Coach Franco Bari said. "We appreciated the support from our parents, alumni and alumni parents today. The spirit from the stands was very inspiring."

Coppinger put the Saints on the board with a goal in the 32^nd minute off a feed from Hamilton for a 1-0 lead, which they carried into the half. Shortly after the break, Geier tallied her first of the afternoon to push the lead to 2-0 and White scored less than four minutes later for a comfortable 3-0 lead.  

Western New England spoiled senior goalkeeper Kelsey West's shutout bid in the 64^th minute with a goal by Emma Norden to make it 3-1 in favor of the visitors, but Geier's second of the day in the 72^nd minute gave St. Lawrence the eventual three-goal margin.

"We showed great resiliency throughout the weekend while identifying our stronger areas to improve on," Bari added. "I was really impressed with the creativity in our team offense."

The Saints finished with a 19-3 edge in shots, with 10 shots on goal. All the shots taken by the Golden Bears on Sunday were on frame. West made two saves in the win, while WNE starting keeper Briana Kubik recorded five stops and backup Marissa Veilleux finished with one.

The Saints will return home to Sandy MacAllaster Field for a pair of nonconference games against Nazareth and Elmira this weekend. They play host to the Golden Flyers on Friday at 4:30 p.m. and face the Soaring Eagles on Saturday at noon.
