Jan. 10: St. Lawrence University men's basketball senior captain Brady Condlin scored 20 points on Saturday, but it wasn't enough as Hobart College outscored the Saints by eight in the second half en route to a 65-56 win in Geneva, NY.

The Saints (6-6, 1-3) trailed by just one at halftime, 25-24, but a late 12-3 run in the second half by Hobart (6-5, 1-1) put the game away.  Condlin was 8-for-16 from the floor, while Kyle Edwards and Riley Naclerio scored 14 and 13 points, respectively.  Naclerio also added eight rebounds.

The Statesmen were led by Connor Rehbaum's 20 points, while Trey Blanding added 10.  Luke Ruddy scored nine points and had seven rebounds.

St. Lawrence took an early five point lead after a lay-up by Condlin.  Neither team clicked offensively in the first half, as Leondre Simmon's bucket with 4:20 left in the first gave the Saints a 21-17 cushion.  The Statesmen would respond, though, with a 7-0 run to take the lead, only to see Kieran Miller tie it at 24-24 with a three-pointer.  Ruddy's free throw in the final seconds gave Hobart its one-point advantage at the break.

The Saints lingered within striking distance in the second half, as a three by Naclerio midway through the frame pulled them within one at 43-42.  However, Hobart delivered the knock-out blow with the ensuing 12-3 run to build the largest lead of 10 with 3:25 to play.  The Saints would close the gap to five, but would get no closer as the Statesmen hung on to win 65-56.

St. Lawrence will look to snap a three-game skid on Friday, January 16 when the team hosts Union College in the Burkman Gymnasium at 8:00pm.
