Carey Named Hobey Baker Finalist, Joined by Bayreuther on All ECAC Team

finished fourth among rookies in scoring overall among ECAC players and was second in goals, He was also second in power play points, tied for sixth in points overall and tied for fourth in goals. He was twice named ECAC Rookie of the Week. The Chicago Blackhawks announced his professional signing late Thursday afternoon.

Greg Carey finished his Saint career as the first player in program history to lead the team in scoring in four consecutive seasons and is the first back-to-back 50-point scorer since Burke Murphy in 1995 and 1996.  He finished his Saint career with 85 goals and 101 assists for 185 total points in 152 games. He ranks tied for third in all-time goals, tied for seventh in all-time assists and tied for second in career points.
 
Also an outstanding student, Carey is a finalist for ECAC Student-Athlete of the Year and is a four-time ECAC All Academic selection.
 
The Hobey Baker "Hat Trick"….the top three finalists for the award, will be announced April 2 and the award winner will be announced on April 11.
