Saints Cruise Past Pioneers, 84-48

Al Jones had 12 points, four steals and four assists against the Saxons on Saturday.
Box Score Nov. 16:  The St. Lawrence University men's basketball team earned an 84-48 victory over Alfred State today in the Hilbert College Tournament Consolation game.  The Saints, led by all-tournament player Brady Condlin, evened their record at 1-1 with the win.  Alfred, meanwhile, falls to 0-2 on the season.

The Saints opened the game on a 16-4 run before the Pioneers cut the deficit back to 16-9.    That was the closest that Alfred would come, however, as St. Lawrence pushed its lead back into double figures and held a comfortable lead the rest of the way en route to the 84-48 victory.

Condlin finished with 14 points on 6-for-7 shooting from the floor and eight rebounds, while Al Jones and Payton Stahler added 12 points apiece.  Jones also tallied four steals, four assists, and three rebounds, and Stahler added eight rebounds and three steals.

First-year student Kieran Miller totaled eight points and ten rebounds, and Janpeter Brase added eight points and four rebounds.  First-year students Kyle Edwards, David Hampton and Kyle Kobis combined for 20 points and eight rebounds, while senior Grant Tracy tallied four assists for the Saints.

St. Lawrence will be back in action on Nov. 19 when they take on Plattsburgh State in Plattsburgh, NY at 8pm.
