Prior to St. Lawrence

Koes was a member of the cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field teams at Niskayuna. She was named the team's Most Improved Runner in both cross country and outdoor track in 2015, was a two-time the Section II champion in the long jump and was a part of two Section 2 champion relays. She was a member of school record-setting 4x200 and 4x400 relays, was a member of the National Honor Society and received the Medal of Excellence as a senior.
