Prior to St. Lawrence

Wagner competed on the indoor and outdoor track and field teams and also played volleyball at Niskayuna. She was a Suburban Council All-Star for volleyball and track and was voted the best field athlete for both indoor and outdoor track and field multiple times. Her volleyball team advanced to the Section II finals and the indoor track and field team won a Section II championship. She played for the Lakeside Volleyball Club as well as the IREVA High Performance Travel Volleyball team, and was an AP French Merit and honors photography award winner and was a high honors graduate.
