Kyle Diezel joined the St. Lawrence University track and field staff as a graduate assistant coach prior to the 2020-21 season. He will focus on coaching the sprint and power events.
A 2019 graduate of Colby-Sawyer College with a bachelor's of science in Exercise & Sports Science, Diezel set program records and was All-New England in the 400-meter run. He was also part of program-record-setting 4x100, 4x200 and 4x400 relays. A two-year captain for both the cross country and track and field teams, he earned All-Conference honors three times and helped the Chargers win three conference titles in track and three more in cross country.
While he was in college, Diezel served as an assistant track and field coach for one year at Mount Saint Joseph Academy in Rutland, and a year later, worked as a strength and conditioning assistant there for a summer.
Diezel spent a year as the head junior varsity and assistant varsity football coach at Otter Valley Union High School in Brandon, Vermont, after graduating from Colby-Sawyer.
