Jack Lunn joined the St. Lawrence tennis staff as an assistant coach for both the men's and women's programs prior to the 2020-21 season.
A 2020 graduate of Grinnell with a degree in history, Lunn will serve as the assistant for both the men's and women's programs at St. Lawrence.
"We are very excited to have Jack join the St. Lawrence tennis family. As a player and a leader for Grinnell, he helped their program reach new heights both in the national rankings and culturally," said Caniga. "He will make a big impact on our programs as he uses his experiences to continue to grow our success."
Lunn helped Grinnell win three conference titles and achieve the first ever national ranking, as well as the highest regional ranking in school history, during his junior year. Individually, he worked his way from the No. 14 player on the roster into the starting lineup for most of his last two seasons, and won the Midwest Conference Singles Title in 2019. He finished his career with a 57-12 overall record, including a 45-4 mark in dual matches. In addition, he was the recipient of both the Most Improved Player and Team Spirit awards in 2019.
Lunn brings prior coaching experience to St. Lawrence, having served as the Racquets Assistant at the Winter Club of Lake Forest in Lake Forest, Illinois during summers and school breaks since 2015. There he worked with tennis professionals David Ohlmuller, Mike Kociecki, and Russ Polender and led junior drills and lessons, while also managing off-site tournaments.
