Prior to St. Lawrence

Burr was a member of the varsity swimming team for five seasons at Adirondack Central, qualifying for the sectional and state meets in each of her five seasons. She was a two-year captain and three-year team MVP, and helped her team with the Frontier League Championship in 2015. She won the Frontier League Championship in the 200 IM in 2013 and graduated with school records in the 100 butterfly and the 200 IM. She was the Center State Conference league champion in the 100 butterfly and was a Utica Observer Dispatch Second-Team All-Star in 2016 and won the Section III Senior Scholar Athlete Award and Marine Corps Athletic Scholarships in 2017. Burr was also a four-year member of the varsity track and field team and served as captain her final two seasons, qualifying for sectionals three times. She also excelled in the classroom where she was a four-year high honor roll student and served as treasurer of the National Honor Society and president of the Math Honor Society.
