McPhaul played soccer at Profile High School in Franconia, New Hampshire… She also competed in alpine ski racing and tennis… She was a captain for all three teams and earned First Team All-State honors in soccer for two seasons… McPhaul was named Granite State Soccer Player of the Year… Academically, she achieved high honors and was a member of the National Honor Society… She also played club soccer for MWV Soccer Club.
