Neivel joined the St. Lawrence University women's soccer staff as an assistant coach in August 2025 after earning her Bachelor of Arts in History from SUNY Cortland in December 2025.
A standout student-athlete at Cortland, Simone built an exceptional playing career that spanned five seasons. She earned All-SUNYAC honors in four consecutive years, including first team recognition in 2022 and second team all-region honors in both 2022 and 2023. Known for her clutch performances, Simone tallied 54 career points, including 20 goals and 12 assists, and delivered numerous game-winning moments—such as her overtime goal in the 2022 SUNYAC Semifinals and decisive strikes against nationally ranked opponents like Misericordia and Ithaca.
Her leadership on the field translated seamlessly into coaching. Simone gained hands-on experience training goalkeepers with Cortland's men's and women's programs and played a key role in the Cortland NYID Clinics from 2021 to 2024, mentoring prospective student-athletes. She also coached youth players at the Bourdeau Skills School and with the Tully Ladybugs, working with athletes as young as four years old.
Simone has also served as a substitute teacher for middle school students and volunteered at camps where she helped young athletes navigate the path to collegiate athletics.
