Fortuna joined the St. Lawrence women's soccer staff as an assistant coach in August 2023.
Fortuna, a graduate of the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, has a degree in Special Education and Elementary Education with a minor in English. Fortuna was a four-year member of the Blue Jays' women's soccer program where she played int eh midfield and on the back line.
During her time at the University of Saint Joseph, Marissa held leadership roles in Student Government as a Vice President and was a Community Chair for the school's Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC). Outside of her time playing soccer, Fortuna also worked in home game management for the University of Saint Joseph athletic department.
