DeConto was a four-year member of the field hockey and lacrosse at Manchester-Essex Regional and earned the title of captain during her junior and senior years... She was named the Cape Ann League All-Star for field hockey and earned the most-improved, sportsmanship and coaches award for lacrosse... DeConto was also an honor roll student.
