Biography
2014-15: MacDonald became the program’s all-time saves leader with her final save of the game against Princeton on Senior Day at Appleton Arena. In 28 appearances the Pictou, Nova Scotia native posted a 14-9-4 record with a 2.06 goals against average, .925 save percentage and three shutouts. Her 652 saves on the year helped her 3188 for her career, breaking the previous record of 3066.
2013-14: As a junior, MacDonald finished with a 13-13-3 record, a 2.01 goals-against average and .932 save percentage. She recorded 35 or more saves in five games on the year, including a season-high 51 in a 1-1 tie with nationally-ranked Cornell on Jan. 24.
2012-13: MacDonald recorded a 17-14-4 record in goal her sophomore season, finishing with a 2.19 GAA and a .925 save percentage.
2011-12: MacDonald had a brilliant first season for St. Lawrence, earning ECAC Hockey Tournament MVP honors after dazzling performances in the post-season. She finished with a .929 save percentage and a 1.99 goals against average, earning All-Rookie honors. Carmen posted six shutouts, had nine games with 30+ saves, and had a .958 save percentage in the ECAC Hockey playoffs.
Pre-St. Lawrence
MacDonald was a part of the 2010 and 2011 New England champions at the Westminster School. The Pictou, NS native, who was also a field hockey and softball player, was also a member of the 2010 Hockey Canada U-18 World Championship winning team. Born December 4, 1992, Carmen is the daughter of Allan and Kelly MacDonald.
